Subaru POV

I have been running for a while now, I am getting closer to the tower by the second. I needed to free Satella now!

I went through the ma beast infested desert and killed them without letting them obstruct my path, I reached the tower where the Emilia camp had gotten one of their greatest victories

I wasted no time and going down, down to the room which held satella as only me, the bearer of all sin could open this door

I laid my hand on the door as it opened slowly with a lot of weight behind it, I walked in and saw the half elf beauty, the woman the former me, flugel loved incased in an amber like substance, colored completely black, a yin magic seal which i knew well.

I rush to the her side as I touch the seal and use my authorities power to release her from the seal that bound her. she falls down from the air as the seal is undone and i catch her, holding her in my arms softly

She opened her eyes and uttered as she saw my face

"F-flu-flug" she tried to say my former name as I signalled her to relax

"I am not flugel, I am subaru. the one you brought to this world" I say as I lay her down, letting her gain support from a ledge so she could sit straight up

"I have flugel's memories, and all I wish to say is that I am sorry for all that happened. From his betrayal to your sealing, I apologize on his behalf" Subaru said as he bowed his head down

"D-don't. I don't hate F-Flugel" Satella slowly uttered as subaru gives her water to drink

"Why? If I may ask" Subaru asked

"He gave into madness like I had, and i only had one authority, he had all 7...... how are you even sane?" Satella asked him exasperated

"Satella..... you can't break a mirror that is broken down into dust further." Subaru said as Satella understood

"I-i see...." she replied as she looks at subaru

"So you have come to kill me? you and i both know if envy takes control of me, i may lead the great calamity like Flugel did" Satella said and subaru nodded

"You aren't wrong, but I am here to kill envy not you. as all authorities are mine" Subaru said as he used his authority of envy to absorb satella's part of the authority

"I should have figured..... now what?" Satella asked, looking at subaru

"I reckon you live your life on the country side and keep quite life, find love and settle down" Subaru threw her way as she chuckled

"If only me and flugel took that path, isn't that right subaru?" she asks with a soft smile as he looks back at her, smiling ever so slightly

"I know you both will be reunited some day, maybe in heaven or your next life. because you both truly do love eachother" Subaru said as Satella smiled a broken smile and tears escaped her eyes

"I-isn't that right yea!" Satella cried as subaru gave her a hug to comfort her

"Everything will be alright, its a new beginning for you Tella" Subaru  said as they sat their together for a bit

In the Royal capital

"So you're saying he is the sage!?" Crusch exclaimed as everyone in the room was shook

"M-my Subaru killed the Archbishop!?" Emilia exclaimed in happiness, realizing that subaru was fine

"Julius! Felix! you should have told us if Subaru went for such a quest before!" Emilia exclaimed as the pale julius and Felix got ever so paler

"Lady Emilia..... I-its our apologies, we should have informed you....." Julius lies as he couldn't hope to get over the shame he has brought himself, the knights, his lady and most of all, his friend

"Come! we need to find Subaru!" Emilia exclaims as she was just about to run off as the dragon tablet updates again, a new encryption that leaves everyone in even more shock than before
