Subaru gets forgotten and tortured, we have heard this a million times. He escapes with his own power and becomes the sage by absorbing the other authorities from someone unexpected.

Miklotov POV

It was nothing but an ordinary day for myself. Until I had come to remember the boy who had made a fool of himself in front of the most important people of the kingdom.

The same boy who went on to save the kingdom many times. The white whale, the archbishops of sloth and greed. and of course, being the savior of priestella.

When a maid suddenly walked into the room and the dragon tablet gave a new reading, my face had nothing left except shock. The boy who should have still been imprisoned has been discovered as a sage and not only that, he also proceeded to kill the archbishop of gluttony.

A headache of a massive caliber was coming, I could feel it. But first.

"Bring a metia to contact the royal candidates" I gesture to the maid who brought me here as she hurried off

I wonder how terrible our luck has to be for the sole greatest asset to our country to have been treated as such. I can only pray that he holds no qualms towards us.

Emilia POV

Amidst all the chaos in our camp, as we were just about to leave to get Subaru. All the royal candidates were called to meet by Milkotov. As I was about to ignore it and head to Subaru, I realized that the meeting is most likely due to him and that Julius and Felix would most likely bring him with them.

"I believe we should hurry onto the meeting, we can't keep Subaru waiting anymore" I say to the rest of the camp

"Then let us depart I suppose" Beatrice utters in a sullen voice as it is obvious that she wishes to right her wrong.

"Taking all of us to a meeting wouldn't be probable" said Roswaal, returning to how he used to talk before Subaru was forgotten.

"Alright, me, Beatrice, and Rem will go" I say as Roswaal nods.

"I shall come as well, I have important words to share with him" Roswaal said in full seriousness.

"Very well then, let's go" I say as I looked forward to seeing my knight, my love again.

timeskip (to when they reach the royal palace)

I jumped out of the carriage as I hurried on inside, I see all of the candidates. But I see no Subaru. Where is my Subaru?

"Where is Subaru" I say, directly asking the question on my mind.

"Not here, or have you forgotten how to see half devil?" sneered Priscilla as her mood was not the best.

She would not admit it but after the events in Vollachia, she had a lot of respect and admiration for Subaru. He had done much for her and he deserved more than to simply waste away his life saving someone who doesn't even care about him the same way he does.

"You don't need to be this much of an ass you bitch, we all miss big bro" Felt retaliated at Priscilla as she scoffs.

"If her camp could have simply done a better job at protecting their own mansion then this wouldn't be happening!" Priscilla yelled as the other people were shook.

The argument was interrupted by Milkotov coughing to grab our attention.

"It seems that all the royal candidates and their camps are here, we can begin why I called you here" Milkotov says as we all give our full attention to him.

"The... dragon tablet. Has new readings for us" he says as everyone else waits for him to speak.

"The first... The great sage who tends to the heaven and earth has returned" he says as everyone gains a look of shock.

"The REAL sage is alive!? ye'r really sayin that?" Anastasia says.

"Yes" Milkotov curtly responded.

"Besides that, Julius, Felix, where is Subaru? he was in your custody" I ask as I needed to see my knight.

"Before they answer, I must tell the second reading." Milkotov says as we all wait for him to say it.

"The sage has killed the Archbishop of gluttony, hence why we can remember him. but there is one more thing mentioned. the name of the sage." Milkotov says as we all are on edge. The sage appeared out of nowhere and killed an archbishop.

"What is the name of this sage?" asked Crusch.

"The man has been given many names by us and the people by now, but you all know him by one name.
