If loving you comes with a price, I'm happy to pay for it with everything I have. --Fenris

Fenris, the alpha heir of the Winterthrope clan, is marked and claimed by Prince Damien of the Nocturne Kingdom during a visit. In a world where alpha on alpha mating is forbidden and condemned, their love is doomed once it is exposed before the entire Nocturne court.

After a failed attempt to elope, they are forced apart by the Nocturne Queen. Fenris is brought back to Winterthrope to face his father's wrath and his clan's judgment. While tormented by the pain of being torn away from his mate, Fenris must also endure the loss of his status and reputation, facing humiliation and isolation. When his stepmother becomes pregnant with another potential heir, he knows he has become expendable to his clan.

When the vampires march on Winterthrope and capture Fenris's omega brother Leif, Fenris throws himself into battle once more, hoping to rescue Leif and bring him to safety. However, he doesn't expect the mysterious and dangerous Vampire King to agree to exchange Leif for Fenris's surrender.

Fenris expects to die as the vampire king's prisoner, never to see his lover again. But will Damien give him up? Or will the wolf prince find his way to his alpha mate, as he has promised?
