Sixty years.

Sixty years have passed since the Battle for the North, Legolas's departure, and the beginning of the quiet life Violet and Thranduil built together. But nothing stays quiet forever. War is looming on the horizon, and Sauron is back with a vengeance.

But it's okay. Violet Potter was built for war, and it's been too long since she's been on the battlefield.

Diana Vanserra is an outcast; half human, half-elf, and the last of the Nyxarian line, a bloodline feared for its shadow-wielding power. Once a princess of a hidden mountain realm, her world was shattered when Azog the Defiler slaughtered her kin under Sauron's command and enslaved her for years. Now free, she's become a deadly force of vengeance, carving her way through Middle-earth in pursuit of justice.

When Gandalf witnesses her fury firsthand, he offers her a new path: join a dwarven prince named Thorin Oakenshield and a Hobbit burglar on a quest to reclaim Erebor from the dragon Smaug. Reluctantly, Diana agrees, but from the moment she meets Thorin, the two are fire and flint. Prideful, headstrong, and unyielding, they clash at every turn.

Yet as the journey grows darker and the stakes rise, so too does the bond between them, built not on trust; but on shared scars, buried pain, and a slow-burning desire that neither dares to admit.

In a world at war, love is the most dangerous shadow of all.
