### Chapter 1 : The Audition

"Ahh jjinjja! I forgot the step again." I sit back on the ground, frustrated. I practiced the steps but I keep forgetting a particular step.

"How am I going to give the audition like this?" I sighed.

Then my phone started to ring. I picked up the phone and looked at the caller ID. It was San.

"Uh, San-ah!"
+
"So how's your practice going on? I know you will do well in the audition."
+
"Thanks. But you know that I'm not good at dancing. I practiced many times but I'm still forgetting the steps." I sighed.

"Don't worry sis. You'll do good, I know. You just need a break." I can feel him smile after telling that.

"Thanks for cheering me up. By the way, will you be there to see the audition?" I asked.
+
"Nope. We aren't allowed to see the audition. And I won't be there in the company at that time as we have a fansign event to go. Busy schedules you know."

"Ah... I can understand after all you are a member of ATEEZ. Ok bye, I need to practice."

"Bye Yeoju-yah. Take care~"

"Bye." He hangs up the call.

"It's time to practice or else you'll regret it later," I told myself.

If any of you are wondering who I am, let me tell you. I'm Kim Yeoju, a 21-year-old, ordinary girl who likes to sing and dance. I was going to give the audition at KQ Entertainment cause they were going to debut a new girl group. The audition is two days later.

It's not that I've never auditioned before. I tried at BigHit, YG, SM and so on but I didn't get accepted till now. I have also worked as a backup dancer for some of the idols. But I wanted to make an image of my own. I wanted to debut.

And yeah, San is my cousin. He is a member of ATEEZ too, a famous Kpop boy group. ATEEZ is pretty much famous abroad also. I feel proud that San is my brother. He is a caring brother. He calls me up whenever he is free from his busy schedules. I was so happy when he finally debuted. 'Atiny' loves them so much. And... I'm a 'Atiny' too.

I admire all the idols so much. I too want to become an idol like them. Performing on the stage, having fansigning events, going on tours, singing your own songs, I guess that's what I liked. I just wanted to debut like them. Some of my favorite groups are BTS, MAMAMOO, BLACKPINK, SEVENTEEN, EXO, etc. and of course ATEEZ.

The songs they used to make really inspired me so much. I like to compose songs. I had made one when I was 18. It was not that good but I liked it since I only wrote it. I liked singing since childhood. So now I'm trying hard to get accepted in any of the entertainment companies. Okay that was my TMI for you guys.

"Noona, why are you always lost in your thoughts? Do some practice or else you'll not be able to debut," Hanbin said, walking into my room.

"Yah! It's none of your business. And by the way, don't you have your homework to do? You just keep playing games all day long... Just go now, I need to practice." I pushed him out of my room.

"Arrasso, I'm going. But you are so ugly. I don't think they would accept a potato like you." He smirked.

"Yah! Kim Hanbin, wait there." I tried to catch him and beat him but he quickly ran out of the room.

After practicing for an hour, I took a break and sat on my bed.

"Ah, I'm so tired..."

"Aren't you coming to my house?" Yena asked as she entered my room.

"Uh, you're here?" I said with a smile.
+
"We were going to practice together right? Anyways go wash up and get ready."

"Okay. Just a minute."

Yena is my best friend. We knew each other since we were 10. We get along with each other very well. We used to share everything with each other. San also knew her as San used to visit our house often before he debuted. Now he only comes once, when he has a vacation.

Yena was also going to give the audition. She was a great dancer unlike me and she was also a rapper. I always get fascinated by her rapping skills.

She is a very caring person when it comes to me. I'm a clumsy person so she helps me every time. She visits my house often. Her mom and my mom were childhood friends too. So that's how we came to know each other.

"All ready?" Yena asked.

"Yeah. Let's go~"

I had changed into something comfortable as I was going to practice. I wore a purple crop top and black sweatpants. I made my hair into a ponytail. Took my bag and left my house with Yena.

"Mom, I'll be back soon," I told my mom before walking out of the house.

"Go safely," I heard her say.

Yena's house wasn't that far. She lived some blocks away from my house.

"Didn't you go to work?" Yena asked.
+
"Nope. I took a week off so that I could practice for the audition. And it wasn't easy at all to get it when you have a strict manager." I sighed.

Another TMI, I also worked at a cafe to help my family financially.

"So how's your practice going on? I know you are all ready to give the audition," I asked.

"It's going pretty good. But I am still trying hard." Yena looked at me and smiled.

We reached her house. Yena used to live in a big mansion as she belonged to a rich family. She often used to live alone as her parents were always out for some business trips.

"Now shall we start our practice?" she asked and I nodded.
+
"First you. I'll sit here and listen to you first," I said as I sat down on a chair.

"Okay then." I played the music.
+
Yena had prepared a rap especially for the audition. She wrote it herself. I'm not lying if I say that Yena was a very talented girl.
