A new factor that they weren't prepared for was incoming titans, they had spent most of the days eliminating all surrounding titans around the walls. Due to all of the fighting and loud roars, the titans must've been alerted and started making their way towards the battlefield. The scouts had experience killing titans, the enemy did not. In a way it worked as an advantage, the titans were devouring many people that didn't know how to protect themselves. Eren turned around to see around 13 titans make their way towards Reiner, Eren did the sensible thing and let them carry on. He started walking towards the frontlines to take out more soldiers while they were distracted by the incoming titans. Eren was in a safe position, he wasn't getting swarmed, it all worked out for him, but some of the other scouts weren't so lucky, the ones near the colossal titan had no tall structures to use their 3Dmg gear. They could only rely on talent alone to help them survive. Bertholdt was getting swarmed and due to the long fight, he had barely any energy to generate steam to protect himself. Titans started swarming his upper body. The scouts wanted to capture his ability so they started fighting off the titans around him, Levi cut down most of them but a 13-meter titan managed to dig his teeth into the nape. Because of the thickness of his muscle, Bertholdt wasn't eaten, but he couldn't fight back, and it wouldn't take long before he was devoured.
Word of incoming titans spread inside the walls, Historia saw people in the streets running into their homes, thinking it would be safer indoors. She put her baby down, and crawled into bed. She couldn't stop the tears dripping from her eyes. She cried and cried worried for a certain mans safety. Maids came to her door knocking because her cries could be heard from a mile away. She kept dismissing them telling them she was fine and she didn't need help. She looked out her window where her and Eren would spend their nights starring at the sky. In the distance she saw smoke caused by all of the explosions and damage from the ongoing war. She went back to bed and lied down, just wishing for good news to come at the end, wishing that he would come back to be with her. Every second was agonizing, every little thing made her think of Eren.
Eren grabbed Reiner in an arm bar, after a couple seconds of applying a lot of force, the armor around his arm started to crack, Reiner began standing up but it was already too late, Eren ripped off his arm, the armored titan tried throwing a punch but the rogue titan rolled out of the way and grabbed Reiner by the other arm and flung him towards the cart titan still running around. Armin got close to try and stop a titan from taking another bite out of Bertholdt, he got grabbed by another titan, he struggled to fight back but was gripped tightly, the scouts tried reaching him but there were too many titans in the way. Eren saw it all happening from a distance, he started running towards Armin, but Eren could only watch as his best friend got his leg bitten off. Levi pulled out the syringe and passed it over to Mikasa, she dodged giant arms and flew around necks, she saw a hand coming to swat her like a fly, but Levi used his gas to pass her. He sliced off the titans complete hand and allowed Mikasa to continue, she passed over Armin and was heart broken when she saw the pain and tears in his blue eyes, he reached out his hand and Mikasa stuck the syringe into his arm. With a bright flash of light a skinny titan with blonde hair appeared. The slender titan then reached out for Mikasa to trap her in his mouth, she was scared not wanting to fight back because it was Armin.
When she was almost in the mouth, Eren hustled and picked up Bertholdt, he screamed in fear but couldn't transform. Eren pushed Armin's arm that was holding Mikasa and shoved Bertholdt inside, out of instinct Armin took a bite. Bertholdt's head popped as Armin chewed on him like a piece of candy. The titan fell on the ground, the scouts rushed over to pull their friend out of the steaming body. The deep voice of the beast titan could be heard, "we have no chance without the colossal", "Fucking Bertholdt, I thought he'd finally step up this time" Reiner thought. The beast titan and armored titan pulled out of their titans and got onto the cart titans back, soldiers were rushing to get on the four-legged titan in order to escape. The scouts filled the air and started launching thunder spears while the scouts on the ground used guns to shoot the easy targets. Not many soldiers left alive, the green grass turned red, bodies on the floor, some looked in pain, some were torn apart, and some were still barely alive choking on their own blood.
Levi gave the orders to return to the safety of the walls. They weren't expecting to see civilians cheering for them, Eren really didn't care, he cared more for his friend Armin who was really tired after what had happened, "it feels weird to suddenly have a leg again" Armin said, "Yea you'll get used to all sorts of different feelings" Eren smiled. Levi walked over to them, "Hey Armin, I need to speak with Eren alone" Armin nodded and walked away, he'd be the last person to stand up to Levi. "You used up a lot of energy today, go rest, we need you to be rested. Go do whatever you want" Levi looked unbothered after everything that took place, Eren nodded, "Thank you, Captain Levi." He walked away and ran towards his home with Historia. He ran inside, screaming out her name. When he opened the door, he was happy, Historia jumped into his arms, she looked like she'd been crying for hours without end. They didn't have to speak, their actions said it all. They walked over to the side of the room and shared a long kiss.
I'm slowly running out of ideas to keep writing, I need some help.
