Eren carried the baby around all day, Historia was resting, he couldn't believe he was holding his own baby, Levi leaned on a wall, "Are you happy Eren?" Eren looked at Levi and then down at Amanda, "How could I not be, I'm the father of such a beautiful baby." Levi grinned, something that he almost never does, "well don't forget you have a couple months with them and then we have to go back to fighting." "Yea" Levi answered quietly, "Hey Levi, can we talk person to person, and not soldier to captain?" Levi raised an eyebrow in confusion, "...Go for it." Eren was a little reluctant to start speaking, " Well now that I have a daughter, I'm scared to go back, I don't want to leave her without a father." Levi understood, he didn't want to be the person to make Eren make a hard choice, "Eren, I don't know exactly what you're feeling, but I understand you don't want your family to be left alone, but now... you have to understand, that you're the only person that we can count on, we need you to finish all of this, once it's all over, you can spend the rest of your life, being with Historia and your daughter."

Eren didn't expect those kind words to leave Levi's mouth of all people. "Thank you Levi, and thank you for not saying anything.", "it's the least I can do, you've been working harder than the rest of us. If you don't mind I'm going back to HQ, make sure you enjoy your time." Eren smiled and nodded, he'd never had a serious man to man talk with anyone before. He turned around and saw Historia slowly waking up, she looked up, seeing the tall brunette, holding their baby in his muscular arms. The baby had Historia's blonde hair and Eren's jade eyes. "Can I hold her?" Historia asked, "Yea but I don't really want to let her go" Eren jokingly said. "Shut up and give her to me, it's my baby too". Eren gave in and passed Amanda over to Historia, "Hey Amanda, I hope you know I'll love you more than your father." Eren snickered at what she said, "Yea we'll see about that." Historia giggled and rested her head on Eren's shoulder, "it was a joke, I'll always love you."

Eren laid next to Historia and his baby, " I was talking to Levi, he said we have a few months together before we start another attack." Historia frowned, "do you really have to go? I'm worried about you." "I was worried too, but Levi surprisingly made it easy, the sooner we finish this, the sooner we can live in peace." Eren was confident, but Historia was scared for him. Eren hugged Historia and Amanda, they enjoyed their time together. "Don't worry, maybe once it's all over, we can make our relationship public, I love you Historia, I want to make this a safe place for you to be in." Historia kissed Eren. They were tired and it was time to go to sleep, they put the baby in a bassinet, and Eren and Historia got into bed, Eren held her tightly and she took off his shirt, she began kissing his chest and stroking his abs. Eren lowered his head and kissed her neck. He whispered sweet words in her ear that made her cheeks turn a light pink color. They began kissing each other and after breaking the kiss to gasp for air, they fell asleep in each other's arms.

About two months later, Eren and Historia were eating breakfast, a maid was feeding the baby, Eren nearly choked on his food when Levi came storming through the doors. "Eren you need to come with me right this moment." Historia looked petrified, "what's going on Levi?" Levi glanced over at Historia, "I'm sorry Historia, Eren we've been informed that there are enemy troops making their way towards the walls right now." Eren was left speechless, "I brought you a spare uniform. Get dressed and meet me outside." Eren looked at Historia and their baby, he stood up and started to move. He kissed Historia on her forehead, "I'll be coming back". Him and Levi ran towards the exit and Eren grabbed his uniform and began putting it on, him and Levi strapped on their 3Dmg and got on some horses that were outside ready for them. They made their way towards the gates of the wall, they kept going until they reached the outer wall, they used their gear to scale the wall where other scouts were waiting.

Armin came closer, "Hey Eren, where have you been?", "Oh I've just been around." He lied. Levi stood up and raised his voice, "Listen up maggots, over in the distance, enemy soldiers are on their way over here, we can't have a repeat of last time. We're gonna meet them in the middle before they get too close." Everyone listened carefully, "we don't know what they have ready for us, but thankfully it won't be just us, the garrison regiment has agreed to help us fight, the military police will help keep civilians safe in case the fighting gets too close." Eren looked over his soldier, down at all the buildings, he began zoning out, thinking of the people they'd be protecting, "Eren, you'll be up in the front lines, you have a lot of abilities now, the rest of us will be there to protect you, we're going to get off the wall and get on horses and start making our way there. Understood?" Everyone saluted with their fist over their chest, "Yes sir!" Everyone yelled in unison. They made their way down and got on a horse, they started riding towards their battlefield.

Eren got images of the last time they fought in big numbers, he was a little afraid, they were riding for a while until they started seeing figures show up over the horizon, "This is it, today we get peace, or we die trying." Eren spoke quietly, "Are you ok Eren?" Armin asked. "Yea Armin, good luck." Armin nodded and kept riding. Eren looked up and prepared himself for the worst thing that could happen.
