Ethiopian literature professor Michael Jackson arrives off the boat from East Africa to the United States - Minnesota, to be exact, to pursue a career for teaching Ethiopian literature at his assigned University. As he has a struggle to find a decent hotel where he was, Michael comes upon a house of two people: a widow and her son. When he meets the young lad, he immediately takes a liking to him, and vice versa. While he stays in the household and Minneapolis for a teaching position at a HBCU, the pair grow closer and closer until an accident turns tragic. As they get closer, questions will come, and answers will be just as damning. Will Michael be able to keep his love? His sweetheart? His Victor?

This idea was conceived through watching an old movie called, 'Lolita.' In the movie (and book), a European middle-aged French literature professor comes to the U.S. to take a position at the University of New Hampshire. While there, he rents a room and marries Charlotte Haze, just to get to her twelve-year-old daughter, Dolores.

With that being said, I think you know what's coming next. Alright, Michael was accused of committing a horrid crime in the early nineties, one that I will not go into great detail in. This book is based off of Lolita, just changed a bit to fit my version of it, and kind of makes it seem that I agree with the lies told on Michael. Well, I don't, honestly. I agree that Michael is innocent and would never, ever, ever harm a child. Ever.

So, if this story contradicts your opinions on Michael, then...just leave. This is no place for lies and crap like that, so just go. On another note, I appreciate the ones who took out their time and energy to read this oneshot turned story. I promise, I won't let my marvelous readers down.
