Taken For The Alpha ✔️

Werewolf

*18+ read at your discretion!* My hands tremble by my sides. "Don't sleep with her..." He steps toward me, his eyes dark. "Why not?" "Whatever you were planning to do to her tonight, do it to me instead," I whisper.

Ayah has always been unremarkable in every way other than the power she wields. Since she was little she has been able to heal even the most fatal of wounds. Because of this, her father has locked her away, keeping her powers safe from the outside world. That is, until a man appears below her balcony, giving her a glimpse into the freedom she could finally have. However, the moment she starts to trust him, he takes her captive, revealing his identity to be a powerful Alpha who needs her to heal his younger sister. But when the girl's illness becomes impossible for Ayah to heal, she is dragged on a journey beside the Alpha to find an amplifier. On the way she learns their connection goes deeper than their heated attraction, to a soul bond neither can deny.

I don't expect Zaon to put much effort into dancing, but he moves with an unexpected fluidity.

The music pulses inside my head. It would be a punishing feeling if I weren't drunk. Luckily it commands my limbs to move haphazardly on what I hope is movement resembling a dance.

Zaon moves in front of me, our bodies occasionally clashing together as my drunken state throws me off balance.

He rights me every time with strong, stable hands.

Fuck, he's incredible. Amongst all these people, his beauty becomes even more apparent. A sea of mediocre faces make his more remarkable, and in my luck, his luminous blue eyes are trained wholly on me.

"This is so much fun. I can't believe you told me to go home tonight." I twist around in a circle with my arms reaching toward the sky.

Zaon grabs me again when I nearly stumble into another pair of dancing people, pulling me back within his proximity.

"It won't feel so fun tomorrow, when you wake with a nasty hangover," he points out, his rigid words doing nothing to smother my drunken mirth.

"Sounds like tomorrow's problem." I giggle, then I hiccup.

He laughs himself, the sound breathy and low. "Indeed."

It's so warm, although I don't sweat. This heat is coming from deep inside me, and it balances on the precipice of being painful.

"I'm going to take my clothes off," I declare, reaching for the hem of my shirt. My coat and sweater is already gone — I don't even remember discarding them.

Zaon grabs my wrists, pulling them away from my clothing. His grip is so tight and he tugs at me with such ease. Desire is beginning spill into my lower stomach.

"No, you're going to stay in these clothes. Don't take them off," he orders.

"I feel so warm," I complain. How much have I drunk tonight? The thought if quickly buried beneath a haze of irrationality before I can grasp it.

Zaon turns me, his hands seated on my hips. My back molds into his front, my head falling back against his shoulder.

"Shh, Dove. Feel the music instead." His voice is hot and fluid in my ear. I prefer it to the melody drifting around us.

I dance for a while, and Zaon's hands don't move from where they rest of my hips. Frustration eats away at me as his breath brushes gently against the line of my neck.

"You're teasing me," I grind out as his mouth grazes below my ear.

"Hmm?"

I don't like restrained, careful Zaon. Not now, not here. This is the closest we've been in proximity since our night away, which I haven't shaken from my mind since.

"I want you to touch me," I insist.

His fingertips dig deeper into the flesh of my hips. "Where?"

His voice is rough, only fueling my need. The people around me have melted into a colorful blur. I don't care if they are wondering who I am, and why I'm dancing with their married Alpha. I only care about Zaon behind me, and the way he holds me with such careful restraint.

"Everywhere. But especially between my legs." It doesn't feel wrong to tell him that, even when distantly I know I should be embarrassed. I like that he knows what I'm craving.

His hands don't move from his hips, even at my admission.

"Not tonight. Not in your state, and not in front of all these people." His words make me look around, trying to be aware of the faces passing by, but I can't make them out properly.

I don't want to, anyway. I want to live in this moment.

I rest my hand on his wrist. "Why not? Everyone else is doing it."

"You're not everyone else." His voice roughens. "You're Ayah, and your body, your pleasure, is for my eyes only."

I smile, letting my body melt completely into his. I'm barely dancing anymore, letting his body command mine in a slow, lazy rhythm.

"That won't be the case once you marry me off," I remind him, biting down on my lower lip.

He tenses behind me at the reminder, and for a painful moment, I'm convinced he's going to pull away from me. Fortunately, he doesn't.

"You've learnt the pinnacle of pleasure, Ayah. You won't find what I can give you elsewhere." He brushes his lips down the line of my neck, coaxing a soft breath from me.

I believe him. I know I can't find what he has given me anywhere else.

"I miss your fingers. Your mouth," I groan, frustration melding with the pleasure. I want him tonight, and I don't care who is there to see it.

The brush of his mouth turns into a kiss, and then another. I angle my head to give him more access to my neck. His silken hair brushes against my face as his mouth reaches the space between my neck and shoulder, his teeth grazing exactly where he would mark me if we were mates.

My body immediately reacts to the sensation, warmth pooling in the depths of my stomach.

"I need you so badly." I reach behind me, grabbing a fistful of the side of his shirt.

I feel his gaze lift, before his hand reaches up to grab my jaw. Slowly, he turns my head toward the forest line.

Shock reverberates through me as I focus upon a couple pressed up against a tree. The female has her back against the trunk, her legs looped around the waist of the male before her.

Even from here, I can tell they are having sex, so brazenly out in the open. No one pays them any mind, though. Everyone is lost in their own pleasure and mirth.

"Do you see what he's doing to her?" Zaon asks huskily, his grip tightening on my jaw. I can't look away, unless I close my eyes.

"He's having sex with her." My voice isn't recognizable. I'm lost in a haze of need.

He kisses below my ear again, his hair tickling the side of my face. He does so lazily, not rushing a single movement.

"How does that make you feel?"

The ecstasy on the female's face is apparent from here. She clings to the male as he drives himself hard between her legs. I'm certain it's the wine, as it doesn't repulse me like I thought it might.

"I want to experience it," I admit hoarsely, digging my fingers into Zaon's arm. "It looks like it feels so good."

He groans softly against my neck, the sound almost making my legs cave.

"It's the best feeling in the world, Ayah. You have no idea."

I try to turn, wanting to face him, to see his expression, but his hands fall to my hips and grip me tightly, keeping my back against his chest.

"I want to know. I want to feel it," I admit. When I know what I want, I'm not easily dissuaded out of it. I'm several years into my adulthood, and I know there is no reason to rush having sex.

But since meeting Zaon, I think about it a lot. I want it, more than I ever have.

"You will. One day," he assures me gently, like he pities me.

"Why not now?" I ask numbly.

Zaon sighs, the sound tight and restrained in my ear. Slowly, as if to torture myself or him, he drags his hands up the sides of my waist and back down again.

"No one here will honour your first time. No one will be gentle with you." He says it like the thought angers him.

"What about you?" This is the bravest I've ever been. I would never ask him so blatantly if I were sober, although I'm starting to think that's why I haven't been getting what I want.

His teeth graze against my neck again, his entire body coiled with tension behind me.

"I cannot lie with you, Ayah. No matter how much I may want to."

His admission is hot and dark, cloaking me in desire. I want to commit the words to memory, as a reminder of what Zaon would do to me if he weren't so adept at restraining himself.

"Why not? What's holding you back?" I whisper hoarsely.

"I'm holding you captive. I'm using you." He shakes his head, hair brushing against my skin. "I don't want you to forever associate your first time with me."

"But it would feel so good." Who cares about regrets? I don't foresee myself ever regretting the pleasure he could afford me.

He makes a pained sound in my ear. "Trust me, I know."

"Stop being so noble. Let us return to the palace now, together." I'm close to begging. "You can take my virtue, then spend the rest of the night showing me what I've missed out on."

I don't even think we are dancing anymore. In fact, I've lost my grip on reality entirely. My focus is on Zaon, hoping he'll relieve me of this torment.

"If I get the privilege of fucking you Ayah, it won't be while you're drunk."

"Actually, I think someone drugged me," I admit.

The world spins as he turns me to face him. I'm met with his wild eyes, which scan my face intently. I don't resist as he grips my chin, tilting my face up so he can look at my pupils.

I figured I was drunk initially, but this oddly detached from reality feeling must be from drugs. Raven will have something to do with it, I'm sure.

"How do you know, Ayah?"

"Someone offered me a drink, and I was foolish enough to take it. The world was spinning for a while and I think I saw a ghost. Actually, being around you has been the only thing to sate the effects." I brush my hair away from my face.

"Shit, it was probably Raven. How did this happen? I had guards tailing her the whole fucking night," he growls, his hand falling away from my face. "No wonder you're acting strange."

I pull back a bit. "I'm not...actually it's just easier to say what I'm really thinking."

He eyes me skeptically.

"It's lowered your inhibitions. She must have wanted you to sleep with someone here." He breathes out in an effort to control himself. "I'm going to kill her."

"Plenty of guys approached me tonight. It was you I was seeking out the entire time," I murmur.

I would never be able to admit that on any other day, but it's the truth. Dancing with someone else, kissing them...it didn't feel right. Then Zaon brought me into his arms, and I suddenly didn't want to leave them.

"It's time for you to head back home for the night."

"What about you?" I look around, wondering where those females that had no problem dragging their fingers through his hair have gotten to.

"I have to supervise until late."

"No..." I complain. I don't see why he can't come back to me tonight.

Zaon turns, gesturing at someone close by. It's a guard, who I didn't notice before. It's probably because the edges of my vision are fuzzy.

"Guard." It's Riley who strolls over upon Zaon's command. "Escort her back to her rooms. Ensure she does not leave it for the rest of the night, and have someone tend to her. She needs water and plenty of rest."

Riley nods his head. "Yes sir."

I open my mouth to beg Zaon to let me stay, or to come up with me, but he's already walking away. My shoulders deflate as I exhale, looking warily at Riley.

"Hey..."

He smiles, offering me his arm. "Hello Ayah. Let's get you back home."
