Story Synopsis

"Even amazing stories have a backstory to them." Says a voice as Ashter thinks about his new life, his friends, and even his girlfriend, Katelyn! But... Ashter remembers a whole new story he's lost so long ago... That everyone forgot. Could it be due to time? Age? Distance? No, it has to be just time.

"So, I heard you've gotten better at Witchcraft, Mr. Lake!" Ashter's Witchcraft teacher says as Ashter nods.

"Yeah, I've gotten better and better at it the last few months," Ashter says as his teacher nods with approval.

"You know, this wasn't the first time I've had a werewolf and wizard student. Even as remotely as having a werewolf with a good grasp on magic!" His teacher says as Ashter nods.

"A lot of people called me a "cross"... Does it have to do with my lineage?" Ashter says as Ms. Hyria nods.

"Yes. But... You're just gifted. Don't forget that." Hyria says as Asher nods.

"Even my daughter knows that she'll keep you company until the end, don't you forget that," Hyria says as Ashter walks out of his class as Lucinda and he talked with one another,

"And remember that time I forced you to become my friend? Hehe, that was a childish move..." Lucinda says as Asher nods.

"I mean, we wouldn't even be friends if you haven't forced me to be your friend now would we?" Ashter says as Lucinda does shrug.

"Eh, I guess you're right on that one," Lucinda says as she sighs.

"But imagine, we're in the same grade, so we'll be by each other's sides until College! Can't you believe that..." Lucinda says as Ashter chuckles.

"Thinking about College now, huh?" Ashter says as Lucinda scoffs.

"Okay, maybe... You and Teony are all so smart so why not get a better education?" Lucinda says as Ashter does nod, until smelling trouble...

"What's up?" Lucinda says as Asher sniffs the air uncontrollably.

"I... Don't know...?" Ashter says as he smelled... Spraypaint...

"I'll be right back..." Ashter says as he leaves Lucinda as she waves at Ashter.

"Where is it coming from...?" Ashter says as he knows he can smell Spray Paint.

"Over here..." Ashter sniffs out the scent as he smelled a familiar scent as well with it...

"Aph..." Ashter says as he rushes to the smell, as he turns a corner to see Aphmau arguing with Gene, again. Asher growls as he walks to the two,

"So! Since that dog of yours isn't here, why not we hang out later?" Gene is heard from afar as Asher stops, seeing Aphmau chuckle as his ears helped him hear.

"As if! Ashter is more of a friend than you will ever become! Now leave me alone!" Aphmau says as Gene is seen putting an arm up against the locker as Gene encloses Aphmau in a somewhat cage-like position as Gene is heard chuckling.

"C'mon, I told you I didn't have that picture, remember?" Gene says as Aphmau still declines him.

"Even so, you'd be the LAST person I would consider hanging out with!" Aphmau sad as Gene is heard scowling as Ashter steps forward.

"She said she doesn't want to be with you, Gene," Ashter says as Gene was surprised for Ashter to be here.

"Hey, look at you! Like the hair, Ashy Boy." Gene says as Ashter stands there.

"Thanks for that, but you heard her, back OFF," Ashter says as Gene grins at that sentence.

"Or what? You can't attack me, remember?" Gene says as Ashter's eyes immediately go to its white shade.

"Attack you physically? Or magically? The choice is yours." Ashter says as Gene throws a punch in Ashter's face as his head jerks to the side, the fist a bit apart from Ashter's face as he wasn't amused,

"Ashter!" Aphmau yells as his eyes blazed with a red crimson shade as Ashter looked more animalistic than human.

"Did you come to start trouble or what?" Ashter growls under his breath as Ashter heard a *SMACK*, as he got himself pulled together, as Gene is seen rubbing his cheek as Aphmau is seen standing there.

"Stay away from me and Ashter, you meanie!" Aphmau says as she grabs Ashter and drags him away, Aphmau tears up a bit as Ashter was just confused and light-headed.

"Aph...? Wait, slow down..." Ashter says as moments later, the two stopped near the restrooms as Ashter rubs the cheek Gene punched as Aphmau tears up even more.

"I didn't... Want you to get hurt! You'll get expelled if he started up even more!" Aphmau yells as Ashter had nothing to say.

"But... Aph..." Asher says as he lifts his hand closer to her, but she shoves it away.

"No! You... You could've got in trouble! You would've been expelled! I don't know what I'd do without one of my only friends!" Aphmau yells as Ashter remembers that he saw just... Red... Was that just him snapping? Rage? Magic?

"Aph... Please, I'm sorry-" Asher says as he is suddenly hugged by his short friend as she began crying.

"I... I didn't want to lose another friend... You're one of the only people comforting me right here..." Aphmau says as Asher hugged the distressed girl...

"... I'm... I'm sorry..." Ashter says as the two hugged for what seemed like hours, as the two pulled apart from one another as Asher wipes away Aphmau's tears...

"It's going to be fine... I... I just need to keep my emotions on checked I guess... Hehe..." Ashter says as Aphmau playfully punches the teen in the arm.

"Stop playing around... It's so comforting it makes me sick... Hehe..." Aphmau says as Ashter chuckles.

"C'mon, let's... Just get to class..." Ashter suggests as the two walked with one another to Werewolf Class, where they are then sitting in their assigned seats, as Ashter heard Aphmau and Aaron arguing like usual.

"Okay, class! Now, in able to become a pack Alpha, you have to show strength and dominance over your peers!" Says their teacher as everyone began to talk and whisper to one another.

"Now, as we all know, Ashter is your Alpha. Don't forget that." Says the teacher as a student soon raises their hands.

"Yes?" Says Mr. Gavin as the student says,

"But the Alpha used Magic to beat Balto, shouldn't we have a formal duel to declare our pacts Alpha?" Says the student as everyone grew silent... Ashter's ears perk down as Balto's perk up with interest.

"Yeah! We need to have a formal one on one to see who's our rightful Alpha!" Says another student as Mr. Gavin does agree Ashter used Magic to obtained his title, as a human for one, and so, Mr. Gavin quiets everyone down.

"Fine, everyone, c'mon! We must go to the sacred arena for Balto and Ashter to fight for the title of Alpha!" Says Mr. Gavin as Ashter and Balto say two different reactions at the same time.

"WHAT!?"  
"Oh ho... This is going to be good..." And Aphmau was concerned about this, as the class is seen walking to another place in the school.

"Ashter... Please, you can just say you don't want to do this!" Aphmau says as Ashter, even if he does want to say no, can't.

"Aph... I know I can say no, but... What would that lead to?" Asher says as Aphmau yells,

"To a civil understanding!" Aphmau says as Ashter sighs.

"I wish I can civilly do this... But they're werewolves, I have to." Ashter says as Balto and Ashter stand on either side of a medium-sized arena as Mr. Gavin explains the rules.

"Each wolf fights with honor and pride! That means no weapons or MAGIC are involved in this fight! Whichever wolf goes down first, their opponent is the winner!" Mr. Gaven says the cheers go to Balto rather than Ashter.

"They're... Cheering for the meaner wolf...?" Ashter says as Balto is seen cracking his knuckles.

"Hehe... This is for the times you've embarrassed me, you cross!" Balto says as Mr. Gavin says,

"Begin!" He says as Balto rushes to Ashter, as he stands his ground, Balto throws a punch as Ashter steps aside, as he does, Balto trips and falls to the ground as Ashter steps back a bit. Balto growls under his breath as Ashter stands tall, as Balto snickers.

"You won't be standing tall when I beat the living soul out of you-!" Balto says as Ashter rushes forward to Balto, who in response, stands there. Ashter runs at him as Balto goes for a punch, but Ashter kicks his leg forward to the sky as the punch from Balto missed, as Ashter does a flip as his leg kicks Balto under the chin, as Ashter flips onto his feet. Everyone was speechless as Ashter gets back to stance again,

"Woah... I-I just did that?" Ashter says as Balto growls as the wolves cheer Balto on still, Ashter looks around and doesn't even see Aaron of all people, including Aphmau... Ashter wonders where they are as Balto yells,

"Hey! Focus on your opponent!" Balto says as a punch lands on Asher's face, he stumbles back, wiping the blood from his nose.

"You... Snake..." Ashter says as his eyes blink from red to his silver color.
+
"Hehe, bet you didn't expect that, cross!" Balto says as Asher dashes to Balto, hopping from side to side as Balto couldn't coordinate with the movement, as Ashter dashes around Balto as he lands a kick to the back, launching him forward as Ashter huffs and puffs as he wipes a bit of blood from a small cut on his cheek.

"I... Didn't want to do this either..." Ashter says as Balto couldn't get up, he felt the strength Ashter suddenly gained despite him only being in school for almost or over half a year.

"You... You little brat...!" Balto says as Asher's eyes flicker from red to silver as Ashter tries to keep the magic in him at bay.

"It seems... Asher is the-"  
"NO!" Balto yells as he gets up, shaken up as Ashter's eyes kept flickering as they finally stopped.

"You always thought you were better than me... Because you had my title and a mate... But I won't let that slide!" Balto says as Ashter was confused,

"Mate...?" Ashter whispers to himself as he felt a punch in the side of his arm as Ashter stumbles back a bit, caught off guard once again, as another punch hits his chest as Ashter ran out of breath for a bit.

"Ugh-!" Ashter musters as he felt the rise in strength from Balto, as Ashter manages to dodge a punch heading him as Ashter took that second and stepped back to catch his breath.

"Hehe... I got to give it to you, this school never had an Alpha fight a cross like you before... It'll be great when I beat you-" Balto stops as Ashter tackles him as he is pushed to the ground by Ashter, Balto tries to get up, but a slam on his chest was meet with Ashter's foot as he was growing tired.

"I don't care... I just want to get this over with..." Ashter says as Mr. Gavin says,

"It seems Balto is unable to get up. Ashter is the winner and your new Alpha!" Mr. Gaven announced as everyone was speechless, but one clapped their hands... And another... And cheers from all of the Werewolf class flood the area as Ashter was more worried about Aphmau... Guess he'll find her tomorrow...
